Valencia Town Center Case Study

Situation:
Old Nortel system is no longer supported.

Critical Issue:
Town Center needed to inform their corporate that they need to replace their current but old system and any other systems that need to be upgraded. ROI Customer was using over (40) 1MB's to remote call boxes, information kiosks, modems and faxes.

Reasons:
Maintenance. Can a mall be without telephone service. Existing vendor charging a minimum of $120 for each service call.

Capability Needed:
Get rid of the old unsupported Nortel system and replace 1MB's with analog ports off the new telephone system.
ROI=(40) 1MB's x $20 per month = $800 savings with SBC per month. Also replaced local analog CO's with PRI-T1 so customer could off load receptionist with customers dialing directly to different departments and end users.

We Provided:
S8100 with PRI-T1 module and replaced all SBC 1MB's with analog ports off S8100. Avaya maintenance contract for (3) years-PWM.

Results:
Over last (3) months customer saved over $2,400 on local telephone chargers.  Receptionist call volume has decreased by 50%, which means the job duties have changed and now include tasks usually covered by higher paid Office Manager.
